CGA Used Club Sale

Bigger and Better CGA Used Club Sale returns to 2012 Denver Golf Expo

This year we have revamped our CGA Used Club Sale in an effort to raise more money for our development programs,” says Eric Wilkinson, Director of Junior Competitions of the Colorado Golf Association. “Formerly known as the CGA Golf Swap, our new tagline is ‘Donate. Purchase. Give Back to Golf One Club at a Time.’

Get a new set of clubs for Christmas? Looking for a great deal on a driver at the Expo? Help a good cause and donate your used clubs or purchase your replacement set at Colorado Golf Association’s (CGA) Used Club Sale during the 2012 Denver Golf Expo, Friday, February 10 through Sunday February 12!

More Quality Clubs

According to Wilkinson, “This Holiday Season, CGA has teamed up with the PGA Superstore in an effort to bring more quality clubs to the CGA Used Club Sale. The CGA set up a donation center inside the PGA Superstore for golfers of all ages to donate used equipment. Our goal this year is quality over quantity. Each club donated gets us one step closer to raising money for our programs that introduce golf to kids that might otherwise not get the opportunity.”

Did you know that many of the clubs donated are from tournament players? The CGA would like to think that your purchase of CGA’s used equipment could have been used by a former state champion or high school phenoms.

Donations Accepted

The CGA’s Youth Programs needs your donations for its annual Used Club Sale.  If you’re in the market for the odd iron, a proven driver or a starter set for someone special, visit the CGA’s Used Club Sale during the 2012 Denver Golf Expo. You’ll find great deals on previously owned equipment, and you’ll do something good for your community.

Individuals may also donate clubs and choose to collect 70 percent of the selling price, with the balance going to CGA Youth Programs, or simply allow the CGA to keep all of the proceeds. Due to the organization’s non-profit status, any donations are eligible to be used as a tax deduction.

The annual used club sale raises much needed funds for its youth developmental programs. These proceeds go directly to CGA Youth Programs, a non-profit entity that supports developmental programs such as those offered by Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Colorado, Boy Scouts of Colorado, LPGA/USGA Girls Golf, Special Olympics, Girl Scouts of Colorado and Goodwill Industries.
